DVDFile's Kenneth J. Souza chats with child actor Quinn Lord about TRICK 'R TREAT, Hollywood, and what kind of costume a horror star wears on Halloween....

by Kenneth J. Souza

At just ten years of age, Canadian actor Quinn Lord has a promising career ahead of him. Having already cut his teeth on such TV shows as Supernatural and Showtime’s Masters of Horror, the young thespian also played opposite Oscar winners Benicio Del Toro and Halle Berry in Things We Lost in the Fire. But it’s his most recent feature film projects that have really generated a lot of buzz and interest.

Quinn recently made his debut appearance at the Toronto International Film Festival with not one but two forthcoming feature film releases to his credit: director Joe Dante’s 3-D family film The Hole and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, director Terry Gilliam’s latest and the swan song onscreen performance of the late Heath Ledger. While anticipation for both of these films remains high, there’s also a movie that Quinn completed over two years ago that’s finally coming to DVD and Blu-ray just in time for Halloween: director Michael Dougherty’s eagerly-awaited Trick ‘r Treat, in which Quinn plays the main masked character named “Sam” in an anthology of four horror tales.

DVD File recently got an exclusive chance to chat with Quinn about his experiences of working with Joe Dante and Terry Gilliam, and why he loves horror movies.

First up: Quinn's work on The Hole and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus....
