Winner of two Golden Globe Awards (Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy, and Best Screenplay - Motion picture), and nominated for five Academy Awards including best film, best director, best actor in a supporting role, best actress in a supporting role, and best screenplay, Sideways is brought to DVD by 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment on April 5th for an SRP of $27.95. Expect separate anamorphic widescreen and full screen versions, each with a Dolby Digital 5.1 track. New of extras has not yet been released, but even supplement-free, this should be a worthy film for your collection.

On April 19th, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment releases the visually compelling and mystically airborne House of Flying Daggers. The disc's anamorphic widescreen presentation will be supported by Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks in the original Mandarin, English, and French. The extensive supplements will include a commentary track with actor Ziyi Zhang and director Zhang Yimou, two featurettes - Creating the Visual Effects and Making of House Of Flying Daggers - a music video, Behind the Scenes and Costumes Galleries, Storyboard Comparisons, and previews. Expect an SRP of $28.95. |

Vin Diesel may not be back for xXx: State of the Union due in late April, but that didn't stop Sony Pictures Home Entertainment from issuing a new version of his xXx in an Uncensored, Unrated, Director's Cut that will run about eight minutes longer. Due on April 19th, this 2-disc set is reported to contain all new supplemental content. The first is unfortunately named and spoils any surprises that it might contain. The rest includes a Sneak Peak at xXx 2: State of the Union, Clip Compilation (The End Credit Sequence - Raw and Uncut), Writer Commentary, Making Of Featurette (Starz! In the Set - The Making of xXx), two Multi Angle Stunt Views- Exploding Barn Jump, The Bridge Jump - music video for "I Will Be Heard" by Hatebreed, and Storyboard Comparisons for Avalanche Scene and Drug Farm. Fans can expect an SRP of $24.96. |
