Heart
in a Box - 12:09am
What's up with Francis Ford Coppola's One From the Heart,
which will hit DVD on January 27th in a 4:3 full screen transfer?
Just announced is D-VHS release, which will arrive day and date
with the DVD, but will be presented in 1.85:1, but sans the extras
included on the two-disc DVD set. Debate continues about what
the proper aspect ratio of the film should be, and according to
the press release: "Francis Coppola was an early proponent
of high definition, and it is fitting that his experimental and
innovative film would take advantage of this first incarnation
of consumer high-definition delivery." Retail will be $39.95
for the D-VHS release, and we hope to get some information from
Zoetrope in the days ahead regarding why the differing aspect
ratios. Stay tuned.
