'Knight's tale - 9:12pm
Leading off this week's news is the latest batch of announcements
from Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment. In addition to the already-announced
Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (see the July 30th update
for more), on October 21st Columbia TriStar will also release
the acclaimed Italian drama Respiro, which gets the anamorphic
widescreen treatment and includes Italian and English 5.1 Dolby
tracks, filmographies and trailers. Retail is $27.95.
From the vast Columbia catalog comes a quintet of library favorites,
including The Forever Knight Trilogy - Part 1. This five-disc
set includes 15 episodes, all presented in 4:3 full screen and
2.0 Dolby stereo, plus bonus trailers. Retail is $29.95. Also
set for release on the 21st are the classics The Al Jolson
Story and Al Jolson Sings Again, The Marrying Kind
and You'll Never Get Rich. Each is presented in 4:3
full screen and Dolby mono, and extras are slim: only filmographies
and trailers. Retail is $24.95 a pop.

The big fourth quarter holiday season continues to heat up with
the first major street date change. Originally scheduled for a
November 4th release, The Indiana Jones Chronicles has
been bumped up two weeks to October 21st courtesy of Paramount
Home Entertainment. Specs and retail price remain the same, and
what a nice little early Christmas present...
Mean Green Machine - 9:12pm
He's back and busting out of the small screen and onto DVD...he's
The Incredible Hulk. Just in time to tie in with the October 28th
release of Ang Lee's big-screen remake, a week earlier Universal
Studios Home Video will release The Incredible Hulk: The Television
Series Ultimate Collection. This six-disc set will be presented
in 4:3 full screen and Dolby Digital 2.0 mono and will feature
a hodgepodge of 18 episodes culled from various seasons (discs
titles include "The Search for a Cure," "The Race
Against Time," "The Legend of The Incredible Hulk,"
"The Jack McGee Files," "The Beast Within"
and "The Hidden Powers of The Incredible Hulk." No extras
have been announced. Retail is $69.95.
