Down on the farm - 5:33pm

Just announced from Buena Vista Home Entertainment is a May 27th street date for the hit thriller The Recruit, starring Al Pacino and Colin Farrell. Buena Vista will release the flick in a 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer with English and French 5.1 Dolby surround tracks, plus an audio commentary by director Roger Donaldson and Farrell, deleted scenes with optional commentary, the "Spy School: Inside the CIA Training Program" featurette, and the trailer. Retail is $29.95.

Also in the pipeline from Buena Vista are not one but two new Hellraiser direct-to-video sequels, Hellraiser: Deader (shouldn't that be More Dead?) and Hellraiser: Hellworld. Schlock fans can also look forward to a third Mimic flick, Mimic: Sentinel, and Prophecy's number 4 and number 5. Yikes! ("And to think, I hesitated...") All are now in production and expected to hit DVD in 2003 and 2004. Watch this space for more details...
