New TV on DVD from Paramount, Fox, Warner, MGM and EMI

Want fries with that? - 12:00am

Kicking off today's news (oh, the excitement!) are some announcements from Paramount Home Entertainment. First up are two kiddie classics, Good Burger and Harriet the Spy, Each features an anamorphic widescreen transfer, English 5.1 and 2.0 Dolby surround tracks and trailers. Street date is May 27th and retail $19.95 a pop, French fries not included.

ON May 27th Paramount will also release Jimmy Neutron: Confusion Fusion . This collection of nine episodes from the Nickelodeon TV series is presented in 4:3 full screen and 2.0 Dolby surround, with some extra goodies: A featurette, 3 behind the scenes spots from Nick TV, and the "Jimmy Neutron" pilot episode. Retail is $19.95.

Other new Paramount day & date titles include the box office bomb Extreme Ops on May 6th, and the thriller Hell Swarm on June 27th. Both are movie-only editions with anamorphic widescreen transfers (Extreme Ops also includes a full frame version on the same disc), English 5.1 and 2.0 Dolby surround tracks, and trailers. Retail is $29.95 each.

Next up is those idiots from The Real World, who are back in The Real World Las Vegas: The Complete Season, due on May 20th. This four-disc set features all 28 episodes presented in 4:3 full screen and 2.0 Dolby surround, with extras including bonus footage, a "House Tour," video profiles of each cast member, and episode summaries. Retail is $39.95.

Buffy lives - 12:00am

She's back once to save Sunnyvale from the creatures of the night...it's the return of Buffy the Vampire Slayer in The Complete Fourth Season. Fox Home Entertainment will unleash this six-disc set on June 10th in another feature-laded box set extravaganza. Each episode is presented in 4:3 full screen and Dolby 2.0 surround, with plenty of extras: Audio commentaries on the episodes"The Initiative," "Wild at Heart," "Hush," "This Year's Girl," "Superstar," "primeval," and "Restless," complete scripts for "Fear Itself," "Hush" and "Who Are You?", the featurettes "Spike," "Oz Revelations: A Full Moon," "Inside the Sets of Sunnydale" and "Season 4 Overview," and two still galleries. Retail is $59.95.

I am Cartman - 12:00am

Guess it must be TV on DVD day again...Warner Home Video has just announced the return of those bratty kids from South Park in The Complete Second Season on June 3rd. Featuring all 18 season two episodes, each is presented in 4:3 full screen and 2.0 surround, plus some extras: A making-of documentary, music video, and TV spots for each episode. (No, there aren't any audio commentaries.) Retail is $49.95.

Into the Stargate - 12:00am

Noooooo! Make it stop!!!! Yep, we got more TV on DVD announcements. Coming to a store near you on June 17th from MGM Home Entertainment is Stargate SG-1: Season 3. This six-disc set features spiffy 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen transfers and 5.1 Dolby surround tracks for each episode. Extras include three "Secret File of the SGC" featurettes. Retail is $69.95.

The Fab Four - 12:00am

Rounding out today's news (yes, it never ends) is our last TV on DVD announcement, the full press release for the long-awaited The Beatles Anthology, coming March 31st from Capitol.
