'Oz Season Two,' more Fox titles, 'Hard's Day Night' signing

Return to 'Oz' - 1:39am

Time to get those prison skivvies back on, as HBO will debut Oz: The Complete Second Season on 1/7/03. This acclaimed original series once again gets the box set treatment, with all 8 season two episodes presented in 4:3 full screen presentation and 5.1 Dolby Digital surround, plus extras including "The Museum of Television & Radio Seminar Series: Oz," featuring audio commentary from series creator Tom Fontana, director Nick Gomez, producer Bridget Potter and cast members Edie Falco, Terry Kinney, Ernie Hudson, Kirk Acevedo, and Dean Winters, interviews with the cast and crew, episodic previews, a season one recap and season three preview, cast and crew bios, and easter eggs. Retail is $64.95 for the set.

Dot.bomb - 1:39am

Just in from Fox Home Entertainment is yet another new December release just in time for the holidays, the "dot.bomb" comedy The First $20 Million. This little-seen indie debuts on 12/17 and features 1.85;1 anamorphic widescreen and full screen presentations, English 5.1 and 2.0 Dolby surround tracks, and trailers. Retail is $34.95.

Fox has also announced an update on the 12/17 release of the controversial Adrian Lyne drama Unfaithful, which will now be released in not one but two versions, separate widescreen and full frame releases. Each features the same extras, and retail is $26.95 a pop.

A Hard Day's signing - 1:39am

Attention Beatles fans, mark Sunday, September 29th on your calendars! To celebrate the recent release of Miramax's two-disc reissue of the pop classic A Hard Day's Night, actors Victor Spinetti and John Junkin will be on hand with DVD producer Martin Lewis to sign copies of the disc. The trio will sign up to two items per person, one of which must be a copy of of the DVD purchased in-store, and a portion of the proceeds will go to a charity of the participants choice. The signing will take place from 1pm to 3pm at Dave's Video, 12144 Ventura Blvd., in Studio City, California. For more information, you can contact Dave's at 818-760-3472.
