'Sign's appear; more street dates from Fox, Paramount

Crop circles - 12:17am

It's still in the top ten at the box office, but Buena Vista has already announced on their website a 1/1/03 street date for M. Night Shyamalan's blockbuster sci-fi horror film Signs. The Mel Gibson starrer has no details as yet released, but judging by the cover, it will not be a Vista Series edition like both of Shyamalan's past films, The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable. Of course, as DVD fans are becoming more and more aware of these days, the first release is usually not the last... tay tuned for more details to come.

Street date alert - 12:17am

More big are due from Fox Home Entertainment, who have just announced a 12/10 street date for the adult thriller Unfaithful, starring Richard Gere and Diane "Let's hope she finally gets an Oscar nom" Lane, plus the Lil' Bow Wow basketball comedy Like Mike. Watch for details soon...

In more Buena Vista news, there's going to be even more fun to be had on that 12/17 release of The Country Bears, which will also include an audio commentary with directors and stars "Ned and Jeb" in addition to the previously announced extras. The disc will still be full frame only, and list is $29.95.

In bad news for Beavis & Butthead fans, Paramount has just announced that next week's 9/24 release of The History of Beavis & Butthead has been canceled. No word on why, but additional information should be forthcoming. Stay tuned...
