It took a while, but BMG Music has finally announced My So-Called
Life: The Complete DVD Collection. Although short-lived, this
highly acclaimed teen drama was nominated for several Emmy and
Golden Globe awards, and now all 19 episodes are coming to DVD
in one giant set. This 5-disc collection runs 900 minutes and
is presented in 4:3 full screen and 5.1 surround. A very limited
special edition "Lunch Box" will also be released only
via select retailers, and includes a bonus 6th disc with all-new
interviews with the shows creators. Retail is $99.95 for the standard
edition (no MSRP available for the Lunch Box.) Street date 10/8.

More cult fun making its way to DVD this holiday season is the
latest Kids in the Hall release, The Kids in the Hall: Tour of
Duty. This live special documents their highly successful reunion
tour this past year, and features the full show presented in 1.78:1
anamorphic widescreen and 5.1 Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1, with
extras including backstage footage and a featurette. Retail is
$19.95, and WIN Media will issue the disc on 11/19.
Columbia price drops - 12:22am
Just in for Christmas, Columbia has announced a wave of price
reductions on a number of their most popular catalog titles. Effective
12/3, reduced to $19.95 are: 2001: A Space Travesty, Bottle
Rocket, Breed, Crimson Rivers, Dogma, Drunken Master, Legend of
Red Dragon, My Girl, She Creature, Tortilla Soup, and the
Mariah Carey classic Glitter. And reduced to $14.95: 8mm,
Blue Lagoon, Fools Rush In, the 1998 remake of Godzilla,
Thirteenth Floor, U-Turn, and Wicked.
