From cult classic comedy that helped launch MTV to sex and the
city, British-style, BBC Video's upcoming 2002 and early 2003
lineup has something for you. Just announced are a number of new
titles and box sets sure to excite fans, including full details
on the 9/20 release of The Young Ones: Every Stoopid Episode.
Presented in 4:3 full frame with new Dolby 5.1 surround remixes,
extras include a new 15-minute "Creating The Young Ones"
and 6-minute "The Young Ones and the 80s" featurettes,
talent files, a guide to the guest stars, a look at the bands
featured on the show, and even bonus episodes of "Filthy
Rich" and "Catflap & Bottom." Retail is $59.95
for the box.
BBC has also issued a sneaky peek at some other upcoming titles.
In October comes Sister Wendy: The Complete Collection,
and a set that all Doctor Who fans have been clamoring for,
Doctor Who: The Key to Time - The Complete Adventure, which
features "All episodes from the Tom Baker years." Then
in January, watch for England's answer to Sex and the City, Coupling
- Series One, plus the acclaimed BBC documentary special The

Just announced from Home Vision and Criterion are the next three
installments in the highly-acclaimed Zatoichi series, all due
to hit shelves on 10/22: Blind Swordsman 3 - New Tale Of Zatoichi,
Blind Swordsman 4 - The Fugitive, and Blind Swordsman
5 - On The Road. Each is presented in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen
and Japanese mono, with no extras. Retail is $29.95 a pop.
Also due on 10/22 is the disturbing documentary The Specialist,
profiling Lieutenant colonel of the SS, Adolf Eichmann. Presented
in full frame and mono, there are no extras, and retail is $29.95.

Bad news for Babs fans...word has come that already on the TBA
list yet again is The Barbra Streisand Gift Set, which
will now not likely make its way to a DVD player near this holiday
season. No word yet on exact details, but as anything related
to Ms. Streisand is usually delayed about 35 times, are you really
surprised? Stay tuned...
