It's hardly a surprise to anyone, but Universal has, finally, officially announced Back to the Future: The Complete Trilogy, hitting DVD on 12/17. From the "How to capitalize on a tragedy" department (am I the only one turned off by all these 9/11 "tributes" popping up lately?) comes 9/11: The Filmmaker's Commemorative Edition. Originally broadcast earlier this year on CBS, this documentary by award-winning French filmmakers Jules & Gedeon Naudet started out as a movie about a rookie NYC fireman but ended up filming the tragedy. Street is 9/10, just one day before the one-year anniversary, and retail is $29.95. Also arriving on 9/17 is the holiday compilation Nick Jr. Holiday, featuring four holiday shorts: Blue's Clues: Blue's Big Holiday, Dora The Explorer: Dora's Christmas!, Merry Christmas, Little Bill, and A Rugrats Christmas. All are presented in full frame and 2.0 surround, and retail is $19.95.
