The Supplements: What Goodies Are There?

Eastwood has never been one for copious bonuses, and that is certainly the case here. All we get are three featurettes: The Eastwood Way (20:00) iis a look at Eastwood's style and how it applies to Gran Torino, Manning the Wheel (10:00) investigates the car itself and its history, and Gran Torino: More Than a Car (4:00) is a short piece focusing on the importance of the vehicle in modern American society.

Final Thoughts

Gran Torino is a marvel, a mainstream picture that succeeds on all fronts. Unfortunately, this Blu-ray Disc doesn't offer the kind of immersive experience many of its high-def brethren provide. Video quality is stellar, but I had a couple issues with the sound mix, and the bonuses here just really aren't much of anything. Clint fans should run out and grab it immediately, to be sure - others might want to pop it on a rental queue.
