Video: How Do the Discs Look?

Inspector Gadget looks pretty darned strong here. There are elements of these 1.33:1 presentations that aren’t perfect – detail is never as fully punchy as it should be – but color accuracy is vivid and well-balanced, and black levels are sturdy without resorting to crush. Compression artifacting is also only a problem in a handful of spots. Fans should be happy (at least until a high-def bump comes along).

Audio: How Do the Discs Sound?

The stereo Dolby Digital tracks included on this set are exactly what you’d expect. The show’s zippy music sounds like it would on TV, and dialogue is always audible. Not bad.
