Video: How Does the Disc Look?
Cabaretis a hazy, dreamy-looking movie, and I’ve never seen it look as good as it does on this 1.78:1 1080p transfer. Grain handling is exemplary, with the movie coming across with a well-worn glow, and detail quality is often impossibly strong, with textures large and small appearing authentic and sharp. Color accuracy is steady throughout, as well, and compression artifacting and banding are kept at bay. A stunning upgrade.

Audio: How Does the Disc Sound?
The DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix included here also preserves Cabaret lovingly. Dialogue is always audible and crisp, and the movie’s music has a wonderfully robust feel to it. Surrounds don’t kick in with exceptional frequency, but that’s simply because they weren’t designed to. Cabaret fans are in for a treat.
English SDH, French, and Spanish subtitles are included.
