Video: How Do the Discs Look?

Lillie on DVD makes us realize just how much we take our high-def cable feeds for granted. These 1.33:1 transfers look positively unfortunate - detail quality is resoundingly unreliable (smear abounds), flesh tones waver in every capacity, and there are hiccups and examples of dirt and grime on the transfer print in nearly every sequence. A miniseries with a production pedigree like this one might not ever look amazing on the format, but it sure as hell should look better than this.

Audio: How Do the Discs Sound?

These mono sound mixes stand up a bit better, but it's clear they haven't been given much TLC, either. Dialogue sounds all right, and the miniseries' musical score has a fine feel to it, but even though there isn't much adventurousness at hand here, they could have been cleaned up a little.

English Closed Captions are included.
