Video: How Do the Discs Look?

We get both 1.33:1 and 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen transfers on this set, and they're...okay. In what appear like truly syndication-grade presentations, we sometimes get suitable detail quality and color accuracy, but it never lasts exceptionally long. The unpredictable nature of these transfers isn't enough to detract from their dramatic effect, but you won't be oohing and aahing at them, either.

Audio: How Do the Discs Sound?

The Dolby Digital 2.0 sound mixes included on this set fare much better (they're at least more reliable). Narration is always clear and audible, and the various elements of these tracks' effects and atmospherics have a solid feel to them, as well. Nothing to go crazy about, of course, but true to the shows' original designs.
