Video: How Do the Discs Look?
These 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen presentations are fine, but they definitely don't stand up to the show's HDTV reruns. For standard-def, the transfers on this TV-on-DVD edition showcase clean detail quality, solid black levels, and nice color accuracy, but there is definitely a ceiling on how well these elements all come across. There's never a moment where HIMYM looks terrible here, but after experiencing these episodes once in high-def, it's hard to take a step down.

Audio: How Do the Discs Sound?
The Dolby Digital 5.1 sound mixes on this set work much better. Dialogue, music, laugh track - all the elements of these tracks have a crisp, authentic feel to them. In short, the show sounds just like it should, and that's a good thing.
English SDH, French, and Spanish subtitles are included.
