Video: How Do the Discs Look?

Typical Eclipse - these 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen transfers are so-so. Black levels are never exceptionally sturdy, detail quality isn't particularly vivid, and there are instances of dirt and grime on these transfer prints around every corner. But one doesn't come to Eclipse sets with hopes for home theater perfection: the fact that these movies have been liberated from the vaults at all is reason enough to celebrate.

Audio: How Do the Discs Sound?

These Dolby Digital 1.0 mono tracks fare better than their films' video presentations. Criterion has captured their original designs well, with obviously-dubbed dialogue and screeching monster sounds coming through just as one would expect. Just fine.

English SDH subtitles are included.
