Video: How Do the Discs Look?
The audio/video presence of these discs isn't this set's greatest asset. The earliest broadcast games here look just about as old as you'd expect (dirt and grime are issues, but not crippling ones), and newer material of course come across with broadcast-quality savvy. The long and the short of it is that these games are presented on these discs exactly as they were originally showcased: None of these DVDs are significantly cleaner, more defined or finessed than their original airings, but their spirits are captured, nonetheless.
Audio: How Do the Discs Sound?
Again, exactly as you'd expect. Early games' narration are heavy with hiss - something that newer Series don't have too much of an issue with - but that's the way these games originally sounded. This isn't the kind of box set that will blow out your home theater system, but if anything, these simple sound mixes serve the games as well as one would predict.
