Supplements: What Goodies Are There?

We get a handful of insightful documentaries - The Comic Book: A Retrospective, First Laugh on Four (Parts 1 and 2) - and Julien Temple's original film entitled The Comic Strip, which looks at the gang's initial run in 1981.

Final Thoughts:

2005 and 2011 episodes of The Comic Strip Presents are not included on this set - its moniker as The Complete Collection may be a bit misleading - but otherwise, this is a huge TV-on-DVD box set, one that makes up for its lack of widespread appeal with some seriously wacky on-screen comedy. There's nothing to write home about here in terms of A/V quality or bonuses, but if you have a soft spot for this fringe-y series, this collection just might make for a screechingly fun romp down memory lane.
