Video: How Does the Disc Look?

Universal pulls out all the stops with this 2.40:1 1080p transfer. In short, Oblivion will knock your socks off. Detail quality is exceptionally well-preserved, color accuracy is well-balanced both in terms of flesh tones and more saturated hues, and black levels are impossibly inky throughout. Compression artifacting is also a non-issue, and aliasing and banding are thankfully nowhere to be found. Amazing.

Audio: How Does the Disc Sound?

There’s no room for complaint in terms of this rollicking DTS-HD 7.1 Master Audio sound mix. Sure, dialogue is clean and audible from start to finish, but what really thrills here is just how intense and bigger-than-life the film’s soundscape is. Musica, atmospherics, and effects collide with exceptional vividness here. Surrounds get thorough, exhausting workouts, and fidelity is excellently dynamic . Turn it WAY up and enjoy.

French and Spanish DTS 5.1 and English DVS 2.0 tracks are included, as are English SDH, French, and Spanish subtitles.
