Video: How Does the Disc Look?

The 2.35:1 1080p transfer here is absolutely startling in quality. The movie itself may be a strange bird, but on Blu-ray, This Must Be the Place is captivating, showcasing impossibly punchy detail accuracy, a color palette that is well-balanced and nuanced across the board, and a steady set of black levels. Aliasing and banding are non-issues, as well, and compression artifacting doesn’t rear its ugly head at all. Exceptional.

Audio: How Does the Disc Sound?

The DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix here is equally well-oiled, presenting the movie’s off-kilter soundscape with effortless finesse. Dialogue is always audible, and the movie’s use of music is really something – and the way it’s manifested on this lossless is moving and often disarmingly involving. Surrounds are utilized extensively, also, and fidelity is panoramic in every sequence. A real treat.

English SDH and Spanish subtitles are included.
