Video: How Do the Discs Look?
As was the case with Game of Thrones: The Complete First Season, my first response here was: HOLY SHIT! HBO is no stranger to sublime technical prowess when it comes to Blu-ray, but the high-definition 1.78:1 1080p transfers on this Game of Thrones: The Complete Second Season set are jaw-dropping. I tried to find fault somewhere - aliasing? banding? perhaps a compression artifact? - but nothing. This is grade-A, reference-level video quality.
Audio: How Do the Discs Sound?
There is also no room for complaint on these DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mixes. Panoramic, dynamic, and intoxicating in their complexity, these lossless tracks couldn't be better. Dialogue is clean throughout, surrounds are always at work helping establish the show's moody world, and fidelity is unbelievably sharp and dynamic on all fronts.
French and Spanish DTS 5.1 and Polish, and Spanish DTS 2.0 tracks are included, as are English SDH, Spanish, Portuguese, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Norwegian, Polish, and Swedish subtitles.
