Video: How Does the Disc Look?

The movie itself has its problems, but The Man With the Iron Fists has a great presence on Blu-ray Disc. This 2.40:1 1080p transfer has its fair share of aliasing and banding to mention, but for the most part, we’re treated to solid black levels, vivid and well-defined color quality, and detail accuracy that lends textures near and far a lived-in punch. It’s not perfect, but there’s no denying that the movie looks often insanely gorgeous here.

Audio: How Does the Disc Sound?

This aggressive DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix is a little too boomy for its own good in parts, but as a whole, it’s a stunner. Dialogue sounds fine, of course, but that’s of little importance – the fun with The Man in the Iron Fists’ soundscape lies in its presentation of effects and its thumping music, both of which are represented marvelously on this lossless track. You might want to keep your volume remote nearby just in case, but there’s nevertheless a lot of fun to be had here.

French and Spanish DTS 5.1 sound mixes are included, as are English SDH, French, and Spanish subtitles.
