Video: How Does the Disc Look?
The 2.40:1 1080p transfer here isn’t perfect, but there are moments when the movie’s grandiose production quality is almost swoon-inducing. Aliasing and banding pop up relatively frequently - these are the elements that keep this presentation from being reference-grade - but color quality is wonderfully dynamic, and detail accuracy is excellent, with textures near and far both coming across vividly. Black levels are also consistent throughout, and compression artifacting isn’t a major issue.

Audio: How Does the Disc Sound?
The DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix included on this Blu-ray Disc also connects well. Dialogue is always audible, and while surrounds are usually just utilized by the film’s musical score and some subtle atmospheric elements, they nevertheless aid in making the movie all that much more present and inviting. Dynamic range is panoramic across the board - both high - and low-ends have strong presences here - and effects appear clearly and authentically.
A Spanish DTS 5.1 track is included, as are English SDH, French, and Spanish subtitles.
