Video: How Does the Disc Look?
It doesn’t hurt that Seven Psychopaths takes every opportunity to shine on its Blu-ray debut. First of all, this 2.40:1 1080p transfer is a knockout, a presentation that captures every element of the movie sensationally. Black levels are inky, color accuracy seems authentic and well-defined, and detail quality is sharp as a tack, with textures near and far appearing natural and unmanipulated. Compression artifacting and aliasing are also nonexistent. Superb.

Audio: How Does the Disc Sound?
The DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix included here also completely wows. Dialogue always sounds crisp and clear, and even during the movie’s loudest shoot-out sequences, elements of the track here are balanced excellently. Surrounds kick in early and often, to boot, and fidelity is impressively dynamic around every turn. Really something.
English SDH and Spanish subtitles are included.
