Video: How Does the Disc Look?
Paranormal Activity movies are designed to look like trash, and this 1080p transfer keeps that intent alive. One is convinced from start to finish on this presentation that these truly are archive tapes and not professional-grade imagery. Black levels are all over the place, color accuracy is washed-out and blase, and detail wavers from shot to shot, but these are the virtues of VHS technology, and they're preserved here perfectly.

Audio: How Does the Disc Sound?
The DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix here keeps things simple and front-heavy, but every once in a while it cheats and splinters into surround channels, really delivering on the movie's creepy-crawly design. Fidelity sounds just as you'd expect - predictably understated except for some boomy low-end shakes. No complaints.
French, Spanish, and Portuguese Dolby Digital 5.1 sound mixes are included, as are English SDH, French, Spanish, and Portuguese subtitles.
