Video: How Do the Discs Look?
These 1.78:1 1080p transfers are pretty impressive, though far from perfect. Color accuracy seems pretty spot-on - both flesh tones and deep hues are represented well - and black levels start inky and stay that way throughout, but detail quality wavers in sharpness from scene to scene (and episode to episode), with some sequences manifesting some serious smear. It's not enough to detract from the goofy show, but it's nevertheless pretty noticeable.

Audio: How Do the Discs Sound?
The audience laughs on Red Dwarf X are patently annoying, but these DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mixes nevertheless capture them exactly as they were designed. Dialogue is clear, effects come through nicely - these are simple, old-fashioned tracks that have been represented on this Blu-ray set nicely.
English SDH subtitles are included.
