Holy cow! I don't know what I was expecting here, but the technical quality of this Blu-ray Disc totally adds to the movie's rapturous presence. This 2.40:1 1080p transfer showcases outstanding detail quality, unbelievably fluid and vivid color accuracy, and black levels that are dark as night through the whole thing. Compression artifacting and aliasing are non-issues, as well. A towering achievement.

Audio: How Does the Disc Sound?

The DTS-HD 7.1 Master Audio sound mix included on this set is also second-to-none. Focusing exclusively on music, effects, and atmospherics, this lossless track showcases exemplary fidelity - both high- and low-ends are represented perfectly - and a surround presence that is engaging and involving. What a treat!
