Video: How Do the Discs Look?

HBO continues its hot streak of amazing-looking and -sounding Blu-ray editions with this Enlightened set. The show's original aspect ratio of 1.78:1 is represented wonderfully on these 1080p transfer, with every element of the show's visual design coming across with vivid clarity. Color accuracy is spot-on, detail is sharp and well-balanced, and black levels are inky from start to finish. No aliasing, no banding, no compression artifacting - these are marvelous presentations.

Audio: How Do the Discs Sound?

The DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mixes included on Enlightened: The Complete First Season's set are also air-tight. Dialogue is clean and audible throughout, and these tracks sport stunning surround presences - these lossless mixes are involving and totally panoramic. Absolutely excellent on all fronts.

French DTS 5.1 and Spanish DTS 2.0 tracks are included, as are English SDH, French, and Spanish subtitles.
