Video: How Does the Disc Look?
Part of the reason Taken 2 is so passable is that Fox has done a fantastic job bringing the movie to high-definition. This 2.40:1 1080p transfer is nearly pitch-perfect, with only a handful of instances of aliasing and banding keeping it from being truly reference-grade. Color accuracy is spot on, with both flesh tones and deep, saturated hues coming across with well-balanced precision, and black levels are inky and strong throughout. Detail is also stupendous, with textures appearing natural and authentic.

Audio: How Does the Disc Sound?
The DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix here may leave you reaching for your volume remote once or twice during its more cacophonous sequences, but there's no denying the thrills this lossless track brings. Dialogue is of course audible throughout, and surrounds bubble to life early and often, lending the movie a panoramic sensibility that suits it quite well. High- and low-ends are represented appropriately, and the movie's steam-train musical score has a full, thunderous overall feel. Maybe not a perfect lossless mix, but nevertheless an accomplished one.
English, French, Mandarin, and Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1 sound mixes are included, as are English SDH, French, Mandarin, and Spanish subtitles.
