Video: How Does The Disc Look?
As has been the case with the last few Resident Evil Blu-ray releases, on the technical side of things, there is no denying Retribution's wonderfully rich presentation. The look and feel of the film's elements here are preserved beautifully: there are no edge halos, no color-banding, no visible compression noise, no artifacts of any kind. The movie broadcasts clean, warm, golden hues during some sequences, and nighttime images are completely free from noise and crush. I don't know that the film deserves it, but it looks sensational here.

Audio: How Does The Disc Sound?
The lossless DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio mix here is just as much a knockout as the RE films before it, offering a stunning soundscape that will really kick your home theater setup to life. Dynamic range is explosively wide and will attack your audio system with gusto when the content demands it. But what’s more impressive is the low level detail, subtle textures, and ambient cues in both the musical score and effects/dialogue that are preserved in the lossless mix. The use of the surrounds is effective, as well, and also serves to intensify the suspense…especially given the fantastic fidelity of the rear channel information. No complaints here.
French DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio and Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1 sound mixes are included, as are English SDH, French, and Spanish subtitles.
