Video: How Does the Disc Look?

Part of the reason you're likely to give Looper a pass is due to its technical quality on Blu-ray, and this video presentation is a massive part of that. There are perhaps a couple moments that showcase unwanted aliasing and banding, but 90% of the time, you'll swoon with the overall heft of this high-definition transfer. Black levels are deep and inky from top to bottom, color quality is vivid and well-balanced, and detail quality is marvelously punchy, with textures large and small appearing authentic and sharp. It's not perfect, but it's often exceptional.

Audio: How Does the Disc Sound?

If there are a handful of minor hiccups with Looper's video presentation, this DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix is absolutely air-tight. Juggling clean, audible dialogue with a sensationally enthralling set of atmospherics and music, this lossless track is immersive to a fault. Low- and high-ends are represented accurately, surrounds are in constant play, and fidelity as a whole is dynamic and panoramic. Even action sequences are well-oiled - you won't be reaching for your volume control here.

English SDH and Spanish subtitles are included.
