Video: How Does The Disc Look?

Compared to Marnie's mid-shelf presentation, the 1.85:1 1080p transfer given Torn Curtain is a refreshing return to form. Black levels are consistent, detail seems punchy and well-defined, and while some elements of the transfer print are a bit uneven, color accuracy seems pretty steady (even if there are a few inconsistencies in terms of flesh tones to mention). This isn't a perfect presentation, and it's definitely not the best one on this Masterpiece Collection, but the film absolutely looks better than it ever has on LaserDisc or DVD.

Audio: How Does The Disc Sound?

The DTS-HD 1.0 Master Audio sound mix on Torn Curtain's Blu-ray Disc is totally appropriate. Dialogue is audible throughout, effects seem appropriately represented, and music comes across with a lovely - if limited - presence. A fine track.

A French DTS 1.0 mix is included, as are English SDH and Spanish subtitles.
