VIdeo: How Does the Disc Look?
It's difficult, however, to hold a grudge against a movie that looks so good in high-def. Weekend appears on Criterion Blu-ray with a stunning 1.66:1 1080p presentation that is nothing short of glorious. Colors are vivid and well-defined, black levels are steady and strong, and detail is impossibly sharp, with textures really popping in every capacity. Grain is also handled marvelously here, lending Godard's awful little movie a beautiful, well-worn sheen.

Audio: How Does the Disc Sound?
The LPCM 1.0 track included here also represents its movie perfectly. Dialogue is audible throughout, effects come across cleanly, and atmospherics are as present as one might imagine. There is little doubt that Weekend won't sound better than this any time soon.
English SDH subtitles are included.
