Video: How Do the Discs Look?

These look to be the same Blu-ray Discs of Fallen Angels and Happy Together that Kino has already released, and that's fine: both 1.85:1 1080p transfers here are elegant, assured, and free of digital trickery. Color quality is especially punchy on both titles - both delicate tones and deep, vibrant hues are replicated accurately and vividly. Detail is also strong, with textures really popping off the screen. Artifacting and banding are also only infrequently apparent.

Audio: How Do the Discs Sound?

The Cantonese DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mixes afforded both pictures are also sleek, clean affairs. Dialogue is audible from start to finish, and music has a lush, rapturous feel to it. Fidelity is dynamic and inviting in both films, and surround channels have a subtle yet noticeable presence to them. Fine mixes both.

English subtitles are included.
