Video: How Do the Discs Look?

These are run-of-the-mill 1.78:1 1080i transfers that haven't been finessed much at all. Detail quality is pretty sharp, and color accuracy seems spot-on, but there are definitely hiccups to mention: aliasing is a major issue, and compression artifacting is also a repeat offender. I'd call these HD-feed syndication-grade presentations at best - they could definitely be better (and no, you can't get rid of that damned NBC logo that appears in every single shot here).

Audio: How Do the Discs Sound?

The DTS-HD 2.0 Master Audio sound mixes on these Blu-ray Discs are fine, but like their video counterparts, they're pretty simplistic. The you-are-there immediacy of the events photographed are replicated with nice lossless finesse, I suppose, and commentators' thoughts sound clean, but even for straightforward presentations like these, some oomph could have been added. Don't get me wrong - these are good mixes - but they're nowhere near as strong as they could be.
