Video: How Does The Disc Look?
This presentation of Shadow of a Doubt is a wild improvement over its previous DVD edition. This 1080p transfer showcases a few instances of dirt and grime on its transfer print - the film's almost 70 years old, man! - but mostly, this is a sharp, well-oiled presentation. Contrast and grain are handled excellently, and detail quality is vivid and often impossibly sharp. Compression artifacting is nowhere to be found, and aliasing and banding are kept to a minimum.

Audio: How Does the Disc Sound?
Shadow of a Doubt doesn't sound perfect on this DTS-HD 1.0 Master Audio sound mix, but it may never. Dialogue, music, effects - all these elements are somewhat hampered by the film's production quality and age. Could this track be more cleaned-up? Maybe just a little. But as it stands, Shadow of a Doubt has an appropriate and authentic feel on this lossless track.
A French DTS 1.0 track is included, as are English SDH and Spanish subtitles.
