Video: How Do the Discs Look?
One does, in fact, get multiple discs here - 3D Blu-ray, 2D Blu-ray, bonuses, DVD, Digital Copy - and while it may be too early to call Brave's the single greatest 3D 1080p transfer of calendar year 2012, it's looking like that might just be the case. Capturing the rapturously inviting world of its characters with absolutely pitch-perfect technical acuity, the 3D elements on this disc are immersive without being gimmicky, and depth is handled sensationally across the board. And picture quality is top-of-the-line, to boot: color accuracy is rock solid, detail is impossibly sharp and well-defined, and black levels are steady from top to bottom. And don't bother looking for anomalies like compression artifacting or aliasing: they're not to be found.

Audio: How Do the Discs Sound?
And the Dolby TrueHD 7.1 sound mix included here is also a stunner. Using every trick in the book, this lossless track showcases a swirling, rewardingly alive surround sensibility, exploiting every sonic opportunity to draw viewers into its soundscape. Dialogue is audible throughout, the movie's soaring musical score has a vibrant, dynamic presence, and atmospherics and effects are clean and impressive. Home theater enthusiasts couldn't ask for more.
French Dolby Digital Plus 7.1 and French, Spanish, and English Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks are included, as are English SDH, French, and Spanish subtitles.
