Video: How Does The Disc Look?
Well, it's a step up from Time Bandits on Blu-ray, I suppose. This 1080p transfer is at the very least a progressive one. That being said, while this edition of Mona Lisa looks better than the film's Criterion DVD release, this isn't a presentation worth writing home about. Color quality is enhanced, to be sure, but detail isn't as striking as it should be, and there are still a number of compression artifacts to mention. Is it a step up from DVD? Sure. Is it much of one? No way.

Audio: How Does the Disc Sound?
I have little complaint with this lossless LPCM mono mix, however: I can't imagine the film sounding much better. Sure, while the track is clean and faithful to the original presentation, as one would expect with a mono mix, the dynamics are fairly narrow. Bottom end is nonexistent while higher frequencies exhibit a bit more range with only moderate shrillness. Still, the sound mix is clean and straightforward, which should please purists.
English subtitles are included.
