Burbank, Calif., May 3, 2001 -- On June 5th, Warner
Home Video (WHV) will release an updated Special Edition of The Fugitive,
the smash hit motion picture which starred Harrison Ford as wrongly convicted
Dr. Richard Kimble and Tommy Lee Jones in his Oscar® and Golden-Globe
winning performance as the tenacious Deputy U.S. Marshal Sam Gerard.
Priced to own at $14.95 SRP (VHS) and $24.98 SRP (DVD),
The Fugitive Special Edition will be available in a special widescreen
edition (1.85:1) and will include the following features:
- New digital transfer
- An all-new introduction by Harrison Ford, Andrew Davis and Tommy Lee
Jones
- Two new behind-the-scenes documentaries, On the Run With the Fugitive
and Derailed: Anatomy of a Train Wreck featuring cast and crew recollections
and previously unseen footage
- The original theatrical trailer
- The DVD also includes a feature-length commentary by actor Tommy Lee
Jones and director Andrew Davis.
The Fugitive, "a tense, taut and expert thriller"
(Roger Ebert), is one of the top-grossing films of all time, with $184
million in domestic box-office receipts and seven Academy Award® nominations,
including Best Picture. Andrew Davis won a Director's Guild nomination
for his work on the suspense thriller, known for two spectacular movie
