DVD AWARDS 2001 - August 23rd, 2001

Ladies and gentlemen, the envelopment please. The DVD Awards, formerly the DiVi Awards, were handed out on August 22 at the Universal City Hilton in Universal City, California. Part of the International Recording Media Associations and Medialine's DVD Entertainment 2001 Conference, the DVD Awards recognize prime achievements in the DVD industry in over 20 categories. Best Special Edition, Best Restoration, Best Special Feature, Best Commentary Performance, the Special Achievement Award, and the coveted prize, Best Of Show, are just some of the areas honored. New to the 2001 awards was recognition of excellence in DVD-Audio.
