New Battlestars and Old GoodFellas

We'll get into it further when we get our review up, but we've heard from sister sites that the 16 February Blu-ray Disc release of GoodFellas: 20th Anniversary Edition is unfortunately the same BD release from 2007. So for those hoping for a full-tilt upgrade, stay tuned - we should have a screener ready in the next few days....

Battlestar Galactica: The Complete Series
That mess that was aired on Sci Fi Channel was disgusting!!! They should have named it something else because if you are going to be different than the original material, than why bother using the name? I have the complete original series on DVD and would not give this a second thought.

Rebutal to Michael
I worked at universal at the time of the making of the original Battlestar Galactica and I can say there was very little imagination or originality being utilized. The art dept was scouring over Star Wars art and the stories were boring at best. That's why it had such a quick demise. I was just recently given the 1st season of the new Battlestar Galactica and refused to watch it because I disdained the original. Finally after several months I watched the first episode and was surprisingly hooked. Far better than originally presented and the acting is leap years ahead of the stiffs from the original. First class all the way. Some of us are stuck in nostalgic land where things are really never as good as you think they were.
