BBC/Warner has announced that they’ll release Bleak House on Blu-ray Disc on 10 May. This acclaimed miniseries adaptation of the Charles Dickens novel starring Gillian Anderson and Denis Lawson will arrive with 1.78:1 1080p transfers, stereo tracks, a commentary track (participants TBD), some interviews, and a stills gallery. SRP for the 3-disc set is $79.98. Sony will release Seven Pounds on Blu-ray Disc on 17 March. This recent Will Smith drama costars Rosario Dawson and will arrive with a 2.40:1 1080p transfer, a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 track, three featurettes, and some deleted scenes. SRP is $39.95. 3 March will bring the DVD release of The Hills: The Complete Fourth Season from Paramount. This latest installment of the hit Lauren Conrad reality series will arrive with 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen transfers, stereo tracks, deleted scenes, a set of interviews, a handful of commentary tracks (participants TBD), a Virtual Hills feature, and some previews for other Paramount titles. Specs and cover art have been made available for Dreamworks’ Blu-ray Disc release of Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa. Acclaimed Polish actor Ryszard Filipski’s directorial effort Coup D’etat is headed to DVD from Facets Multimedia on 24 February. This epic historical drama will arrive with a 1.33:1 transfer, a stereo track, and some director and cast biographies. SRP is $29.95.It’s very early, and things may not be set in motion until late in 2009, but Shout! Factory has announced that they will be releasing Mr. Belvedere: Season One at some point this year.
