Sony has announced plans to release The Sky Crawlers on Blu-ray Disc on 26 May. This acclaimed anime film from celebrated director Mamoru Oshii will arrive with a 1.78:1 1080p transfer, a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 sound mix, as well as three featurettes. SRP is $34.95.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Paramount is preparing a 28 April Blu-ray Disc release of Hotel for Dogs. This family comedy starring Lisa Kudrow will arrive with a 1.85:1 1080p transfer, a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 sound mix, a commentary with Thor Freudenthal, Ewan "Jack" Leslie, Emma Roberts and Jake T. Final specs have been released for Sony's 12 May Blu-ray Disc release of Underworld: Rise of the Lycans. This third installment of the hit Kate Beckinsale franchise will arrive with a 2.35:1 1080p transfer, a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 sound mix, a director commentary, a music video, three featurettes (as well as two more that are BD-exclusive). 9 June wil bring the Blu-ray Disc release of The Siege from Fox. This Denzel Washington thriller will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix, as well as a slate of bonus features that has yet to be announced. SRP is $29.99.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

In a bizarre announcement, Warner has released plans to make available a stand-alone Blu-ray Disc release of Batman starting on 19 May. Identical to the edition of the film included on the Batman Anthology BD set (1080p transfer, Dolby TrueHD 5.1 sound mix, commentary with director Tim Burton, three music videos, featurettes, and the film's trailer), the release will carry an SRP of $34.99.
