Disc News Update 04.09
 Final specs have been announced for MGM's 16 June release of Spaceballs on Blu-ray Disc. This Mel Brooks spoof will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix a commentary with Brooks (as well as two comedy commentaries), a set of featurettes, some stills galleries, trailers, and a look at the film's gaffes. The DVD edition of the film will also be included. SRP is $29.99.
 Magnolia will release Eden Log on Blu-ray Disc on 19 May. This French sci-fi epic will arrive with a 1080p transfer, but audio specs and bonus features (if any) have yet to be announced. SRP is $34.98.
 Buena Vista is also readying the Oscar-winning Pulp Fiction for Blu-ray Disc release on 4 August. Like the company's release of Jackie Brown, the film will get a 1080p transfer and a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix, but bonus goodies are still TBD, as is the release's SRP. We have early word of a 16 June Blu-ray Disc release of The Cell 2 from Warner. This straight-to-video sequel to the hit Jennifer Lopez thriller will arrive with a 1.85:1 1080p transfer, a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 sound mix, and a making-of featurette. SRP is $34.99.
4 August will bring the Blu-ray Disc release of Jackie Brown from Buena Vista. This kick-ass Quentin Tarantino drama will arrive with a 1080p transfer and a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix, though bonus features have not been announced. SRP is TBD.
