Criterion's September slate: Fincher, de Sica, and a double-dose of Marcel Carne....

4 September will bring the Criterion Blu-ray release of Umberto D. This wondrous Vittorio de Sica classic will arrive with a 1080p transfer, an LPCM mono sound mix, two featurettes, and a trailer. SRP is $39.95.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Game will see its high-def debut from Criterion on 25 September. This David Fincher mindwarp drama will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix, a commentary track, some featurettes (with commentary), an alternate ending, and some trailers (with commentary). Criterion will also release Eating Raoul on Blu-ray on 25 September. This cult comedy will arrive with a 1080p transfer, an LPCM sound mix, a commentary track, some short films, a documentary, a blooper reel, and a featurette. SRP is $39.95.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Children of Paradise will get a Blu-ray bump on 18 September. This Marcel Carne favorite will arrive with a 1080p transfer, an LPCM sound mix, two commentary tracks, an intro from Terry Gilliam, some documentaries, a set of featurettes, and the film's trailer. 18 September will also bring the Criterion Blu-ray debut of Les visiteurs du soir. This long-lost Carne adventure romp will arrive with a 1080p transfer, an LPCM sound mix, a documentary, and a trailer. SRP is $39.95.
