Our week ends with news of high-def bumps for High Noon and Invasion of the Body Snatchers, as well as info on a new single-disc Blu-ray edition of Casablanca....

Warner has announced a 1 May single-disc Blu-ray release of Casblanca. This standalone version of the Bogie/Bergman classic will have the same 1080p transfer and DTS-HD Master Audio sound mix as the Ultimate Collector's Edition from earlier this year, plus all the disc-based bonuses on that edition's first disc. SRP is $24.98.

 

 

 

 

 

 

17 July will bring the Blu-ray release of High Noon from Olive Films. This Gary Cooper masterpiecce will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a featurette, and some trailers (audio specs are TBD). SRP is $29.95.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Vivendi is readying a 5 June Blu-ray release of New York Giants: Road to XLVI. This Super Bowl doc will contain the four last games of the Giants' last season, though audio/video specs and bonuses (if any) are unconfirmed. SRP is TBD.

 

 

 

 

 

17 July will also bring the Blu-ray release of Invasion of the Body Snatchers from Olive Films. This b-grade horror flick will arrive with a 1080p transfer, though audio specs and bonuses (if any) remain unconfirmed. SRP is $29.98.
