Criterion's Valentine's Day gift to us involves French science fiction, trendy mumblecore, three outlaw samurai, and a murder...

Criterion is upgrading La Jetee and Sans Soleil to Blu-ray on 7 February. These cult-adored Chris Marker films will arrive with 1080p transfers, LPCM sound mixes, and some featurettes. SRP is $39.95.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Criterion will release Tiny Furniture on Blu-ray on 14 February. This Lena Dunham indie will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD Master Audio sound mix, Dunham's first film, Creative Nonfiction, some interviews, short films, and a trailer. SRP is $39.95.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

14 February will also bring the release of Three Outlaw Samurai on Blu-ray from Criterion. This first film by Hideo Gosha will arrive with a 1080p transfer, an LPCM sound mix, and a trailer. SRP is $29.95.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

21 February brings the release of World on a Wire on Criterion Blu. This spacey Rainer Werner Fassbinder film will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a lossless sound mix, a documentary, and a featurette. SRP is $39.95.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We also get a Blu Criterion release of Anatomy of a Murder on 21 February. This Otto Preminger courtroom drama will arrive with a 1080p transfer, both an LPCM and a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix, some featurettes and the film's trailer. SRP is $39.95.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Them on 28 February we get a Blu-ray Criterion edition of Vanya on 42nd Street. This final film by Louis Malle will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 2.0 Master Audio sound mix, a documentary, and a trailer. SRP is $39.95.
