It looks official: Fox will release Avatar: Collector's Edition on Blu-ray on 16 November. This won't be a 3D BD release, but it will come with an extended cut of the movie (including footage not even included in the new 3D rerelease), as well as forty-five minutes of uncompleted footage (among other things). Lionsgate has already released a Best Buy exclusive Blu-ray of Open Water/Open Water 2. This deep-sea thriller arrived with a 1080p transfer and a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix. SRP is $19.99.

Shout! Factory will release Designing Women: The Complete Fourth Season on DVD on 21 September. This latest release of the hit sitcom will arrive with 1.33:1 transfers, stereo sound mixes, but no bonus features. SRP is $44.99.

Buena Vista has announced specs for their 30 November Blu-ray release of Fantasia: 2 Movie Collection. This set includes Fantasia and Fantasia 2 and will arrive with 1080p transfers, DTS-HD 7.1 Master Audio sound mixes, DisneyView options, commentaries, featurettes, and sets of stills galleries. SRP is $45.99.
